New R&B Releases This Friday: Albums and Singles Out Now (23 October 2026)

Happy release day! This week brings John Legend's full album with Pharrell, the long-awaited Anderson .Paak and Cordae link-up, a new Michael Kiwanuka record and a fresh start for Mahalia. Here's what's out now.

New R&B albums and EPs

• John Legend - Muse
  Album
A 16-track album produced entirely by Pharrell, mixing classic soul, gospel and doo-wop with a more upbeat, modern feel. Clipse turn up on "Bodies On The Floor" and Pharrell features on several songs. Listen
• Anderson .Paak & Cordae - Heavy Is The Crown
  Album
The first full joint album from the pair, landing after earlier team-ups like "RNP". It leans more rap than R&B, but .Paak's soulful touch is all over it, with J. Cole and 9th Wonder among the names involved. Listen
• Michael Kiwanuka - FUDGE
  Album
The London soul singer's fifth album, 12 tracks made closer to home with his live band member Joe Connell rather than his usual big-name producers. Lead single "Summer Clothes" opens the record. Listen
• Halle - love?... or something like it (Deluxe)
  Album
Halle expands her debut solo album with five new songs, taking it to 20 tracks. A good excuse to revisit one of the year's more polished R&B records. Listen
• Toosii - Platinum Heart 2
  Album
A 13-track follow-up from the melodic Syracuse star, with "Nights Prayed" and the NBA YoungBoy collab "Please Don't Go" already out ahead of it. Listen

New R&B singles

• Mahalia - the 5 stages of heartbreak
  Single
Mahalia's first release as an independent artist after 14 years with her label, and the lead single from her next album. The song walks through a break-up using the five stages of grief. Big moment for UK R&B. Listen
• Jessie Reyez - Sovreign Land
  Single
New music from the Canadian singer-songwriter, who never misses when it comes to raw, emotional vocals. Listen
• Jacquees - Lick Back (Remix) (feat. Lil Baby)
  Single
Jacquees brings in Lil Baby for a new version of his summer party record, which originally featured Juvenile. Listen
